The purpose and use method of hot melt adhesive

1. Uses:  There are more and more varieties of Hot melt powder, and their uses are becoming more and more extensive. They can bond leather, glass, metal, wood, luggage plastics, medical treatment, textiles, etc.

2. The following mainly introduces the problems and solutions that frequently occur in the application of hot melt adhesive strips and hot melt adhesive particles.

   
   

First of all, TPU hot melt powder tape often has glue dripping, and there are two main reasons:

(1) Because the melting point of the colloid itself is too low, it is recommended to change to a product with a slightly higher melting point.

(2) It may be that the power of the glue is too high and there is no regulating valve. You can use an adjustable Hot melt powder or a Heat transfer powder with a lower power.

Secondly, the problems and reasons that Hot melt adhesive particles often occur when they are used for furniture edge banding:

(1) Black edges appear; the possible reason is that the hot melt machine has not been cleaned for a long time, and the glue itself has been carbonized.

(2) The edge banding is not sticky. It may be that the rubber strip itself or the surface of the wood has dust;  The moisture content of the wood is too high;  The temperature adjustment of the machine is too low, which does not maximize the viscosity of the colloid, or the temperature is too low, so that the temperature of the material itself is low and cannot reach a certain strength . If it is a manual edge banding machine, it is also possible that the manual operation speed is too slow, because the hot melt adhesive has a certain open period.

(3) The unevenness of the surface of the sealing edge may be that the open period of the hot melt adhesive has passed during the operation, or the temperature is too low to completely melt the hot melt adhesive.
