Water slurry printing is the earliest applied printing technology. The material it uses to print patterns is a water-based paste, similar to the pigments or dyes used in painting. The pattern can be printed on the fabric by technically treating the printing screen so that the paste can penetrate into the fabric where there is a pattern, but cannot penetrate where there is no pattern.
Its characteristics are: only one color can be printed at a time, if you want to print the second color, you must wait for the previous color to dry before proceeding; you need to make a printing plate; generally, four colors cannot be used to print color patterns, and it cannot be used in dark colors. Light-colored patterns are printed on the fabric; the advantage is that the printed fabric has good air permeability, but because of the starch washing during printing, the clothes will be hard.
