The processing methods for relief patterns on textiles generally include weaving, tufting, shearing, etc. There are roughly four methods for making relief patterns using printing.
① Electrostatic flocking printing. First, use adhesive to print various patterns on the fabric, and then vertically move the colored fluff of nylon or polyester fine yarn between two high-voltage electrostatic field plates,
Plant the fluff densely on the fabric pattern printed with adhesive to form a three-dimensional relief pattern.
② Wrinkle print. Pre print patterns on cotton cloth with concentrated alkali. After drying and washing, a three-dimensional pattern in the shape of bubbles is produced. Anti dyeing printing method can also be used. First, an alkali resistant pattern can be printed on a cotton cloth. After the alkali resistant paste is dried, the cotton cloth can be soaked and rolled with concentrated alkali. Then, after washing and drying, a bubble shaped relief pattern can also be produced.
③ Rotten floral print. Polyester cotton core yarn is spun from two types of fibers, polyester and cotton. After weaving, patterns are printed on the fabric using alkaline or acidic pulp, taking advantage of the different acid and alkali resistance of the two fibers. After high-temperature baking, the fibers on the printed part of the fabric peel off, resulting in a highly contrasting pattern on the surface of the fabric.
④ Anti shrink printing. Use screen printing method to print anti shrink solvent on the surface of wool fabric, and then shrink it to create a difference between the felted and non felted parts of wool fibers. The patterns already depicted on the screen are presented on the surface of the fabric with a concave convex effect. This method is only suitable for use on wool products, as wool products generally undergo a felting process. The relief processing of wool knitted fabrics is achieved by using the anti shrink principle, adding a shrink agent to the printing paste, and printing it on the fabric. The process flow of relief printing on woolen sweaters is: pre-treatment+printing+pre drying+baking+felting+dehydration+drying.
