The Difference Between Thermosetting Ink Printing Technology And Hot Stamping

1. Different manufacturing processes
Heat transfer printing is the process of first printing a pattern onto a heat transfer paper (commonly known as heat transfer paper). When needed, the heat transfer paper is covered onto the T-shirt and placed in a heat transfer machine (heat transfer machine) to heat and press for a few seconds. The pattern is then transferred onto the T-shirt; Thermosetting ink printing uses special thermosetting ink to directly print patterns on T-shirts, and then puts them into infrared drying equipment for drying. During this process, the ink particles melt and firmly bond with the T-shirt fibers, cooling and forming.
2. Different appearance
Because the white substrate on the heat transfer paper must be melted to "stick" the pattern to the T-shirt, traditional hot stamping patterns often have unnatural and stiff white edges; Thermosetting ink printing does not have annoying hard edges because it is a "direct" printing that does not require a white substrate.
3. Different hand feel and breathability
Hot stamping feels like a layer of rubber, because the white matrix with pigment is about 0.5mm thick and is a continuous sealing layer; Thermosetting ink printing is a semi scattered distribution of fine color particles on T-shirts, soft and breathable, with a hand feel similar to water-based paste printing, but with brighter and more durable colors than water-based paste printing.
The new type of hot stamping also has advantages:
As mentioned earlier, there are many shortcomings in hot stamping. In fact, as an emerging T-shirt printing technique, hot stamping also has its unique advantages:
1. Hot stamping T-shirts are produced quickly, without the need for plate making, and can be easily obtained.
2. The particles of the hot stamping pattern are delicate and can reach a photo level, which printing cannot achieve.
3. Making small area patterns has little impact on breathability, making hot stamping more suitable and cheaper.
In recent years, the hot stamping process has been continuously improved and perfected. The new type of hot stamping has greatly improved in terms of breathability, hand feel, and washability, and is almost close to printing. The white substrate has been replaced by a thinner transparent substrate. After pre spraying a certain solution on the T-shirt, it can be fully breathable for hot stamping. In terms of vividness, hot stamping is superior to other printing techniques.
